Shambles
By Lord Kalgalath
I have lain here in darkness forever it seems
writhing in agony at the flames
which burn but never consume me
I am hollow inside again
All the more hollow for having been filled with that feeling
As I lay here
on my self-made bed of nails
their cruel barbed points
sinking slowly in
I cry out to the emptyness
Trust not hope
that hateful emotion
it is an exit that leads ot worlds of illusion and delusion
an empty release
I have ripped out my own heart
and now i must eat it
grinning all the while to hide the hurt
i scream a lament to the stars
as cold and distant as we have become
I will walk on, cloaked in my sorrow
This my freinds is my final goodbye,
the person you know is gone, he is dead
as you read this his shell walks on, but the essence is gone
if you see him, say hello, for he is utterly alone
