From the Haze

By Liath

Walking through the courtyard,
Along it's paths I meander,
Looking to the sky to find a light to lead me,
But saw nothing but the dark heavens above.

Trudging along at my laborious lope,
It dropped lower and lower, my sullen soul,
Trying to remember the last time I had a trace of hope,
That my life might turn up one love for me.

I strained all I could, staggering under the mental effort demanded,
The world escaped my sight-But the feet kept walking,
Pushed or pulled by an outside force, is how they seemed,
It seem that for my attempt at remembering my last hopes, my soul would be forever reprimanded.

Somewhere off in the distance a light exploded towards me, searing my eyes,
Inside my head the image played, and at the point of the light,
There you were. The light illuminated all in my mind, and I reeled back to life.
You saved me with your Light.
