A Sure Thing

By Cinn

How sure is a sure thing?
How do you know nothing will go wrong?
No on will get hurt?
And we won't get caught?

How trustworthy is an honest person?
How do you know what to believe?
What not to believe?
And when it doesn't matter?

How much is priceless worth?
How do you know when it's worth the risk?
Of getting in serious trouble?
And all privileges revoked?

How long is everlasting?
How do you know anything lasts forever?
Won't just run out?
And continues unfaltering?

How loving is true love?
How do you know soul-mates exist?
That you'll find yours?
And they will the one?

How perfect is perfection?
How do you know when it's just right?
The feeling won't change?
And it's where you should be?

How sure is a sure thing?
How do know you aren't kidding yourself?
You really feel this way?
And it isn't just impulse?
