Beloved skateboard in one hand and his entire world in his other.
Memories of past loves and lovers are nowhere in sight.

Digits exchanged and names written in blood red ink.
Smiles crossed and he asked me to join his future.
Into my truck and back to where we met only hours before.
Sun rising behind Interstate 95 and the chill air a faint reminder of winter.
6am in Rhode Island and we made blind promises but was he as smitten with me as I was with him?
