freeing the lies watching night die

By SourInnocence

Hovering an inch above my lips,
Your shirt twisted in my fingertips.
A sky of blue, with diamond stars.
No love could shine as bright as ours.
But our picture perfect lives are fading with every bend,
And I fear the lies will take me in the end.
Tomorrows never certain, so lets live in the now.
I need to make this moment never fade, to keep it safe somehow.
I know the end is closing in, and I hold onto you tight,
Trying to make every second matter and keep you threw the night.
The secrets out, and I can’t convince you to stay.
Back away in disbelief and let me fall away.
The stars fade, and the moon retreats as the sun begins to rise.
The rays glisten on tears that fall from lonely eyes.
Goodbyes are never easy; so much is left to say.
Turn your back, as I watch you go until you fade away.
Tomorrows never certain, and the pasts a memory,
I cry in disbelief as I watch today die in from of me.
