a blind leap

By SourInnocence

I held my breath,
And took a running start.
Heart racing, mind too full for an organized thought.
And I took that blind leap.
I had almost made it,
My hand grasped at the ledge.
Almost there, only one more inch, one more second,
And I got shot down.
I fell back to earth,
And accepted the pain.
Tears welling in red eyes trying to hold back.
And I left you alone.

~hey. i'm back to my old self after a long absence. if anyone out there still likes my works i am in a bit of a money situation, and if you want to sponsor me i'm sure i could do something to repay you. i'd miss this place if i ever lost it.~
