Black Dahlia

By Midnight Phoenix

A demon in darkness sits
An angel found where no light emits
Untold beauty encircled by flashing fire and flight

Her face painted with ashes from the deep below
Her own candescent sapphire gemstones glow
Every time she cries it looks like bleeding candle light

In you I find me blessed
Behold this silken torment undressed
As found only in death, I am given this peace of mind

In you I find me free
From what we wish was eternity
Still searching for something we may never find

We wait in our darkness
We wait for our light
We wait for the ending to take our life

This black dahlia
Rests upon our hearts
Such a royal beauty has fallen apart

We don’t think of living
We do what is said
Don’t listen for too long or you’ll soon be led

Don’t wait for your savior
He’s already bled
Live like you’re dying or you’re already dead

This was like closing eyes in the edge of a cliff. Breathtaking, sharp, beautiful.

This one is a royal beauty on my heart. Are you planning to post samples of your band's music on DP? It would be nice to have more company on the music page ;-)

I already love this actual song in it's entirety by you guys, but seeing the lyrics and figuring them out for myself gives the song a whole new dimension. I love this.
