Serenade the streetlight

By Drifter

So Sunday:
Sixty degree darkness
Smoke & toothpaste

Dig the streetlight
A halo
Alone
Like I should be

Calling for truth, reflection, and memory
My buddy's band
My buddy's job
My buddy's pain
My buddy's god

So
Dig the streetlight
Flashlight in the daytime
(Yes baby yes)

Shine baby shine
God through squinted eyes

Chill the son
Burn for me alone
Yes baby yes!

Burn toothpaste streetlight!
YES BABY! YES!

Dig that crazy streetlight
Dark and warm at night
Dig that fucking streetlight
And the darkness it must fight
Dig the lonely streetlight
And my face it will caress
Lonely standing stoic
Unlike it's frantic guest
yes, yes, yes...
