Seasons of days flowering in-between pages
Revealing Memories of a glory I have never been
Tethered living strands of silken webs sailing
Gliding from my fingers and out into the ebb
I dream of days I cannot bring myself to reason
Dreams anchored to something so un-breathable
Resembling tired restless seas and a heaven
A place I once was - a person I would fight to be again
I remember a war and knowing the cost was you
But a promise of a reward I cannot recall
Tell me it will be all right
Point me to where we will find our way
Reveal in your eyes that you remember me
Whisper what we mean to say
Through the fiery rains
I’d fight before
Riding thunder through the skies
I don’t remember who I am
I'm sorry for all my life
Yet, I can still hear her voice
And see the color of her eyes

Thanks, i actually did not realize I republished this as I wrote it in 2003 or so and posted it here. I was on thinking it is time to write again and saw one of my last was no longer visible. I used to outgrow my poems as I got older but this one still gets me.

Beautiful description you use. This is amazing. I love the last stanza and the way it ends. ~Wish Upon A Star
