lost girl
By manunkind
feeding off of blood and death
steal away a babies breath
hearts of ice and hearts of stone
we stand together
yet
we stand alone
drink a drought of fear
energy replenished
feed off of an enemies tears
i am viking
from land we flee across oceans blue
seek refuge to view a view
we run from the very thing we burn
feast with me, celebrate your own destruction
we are free yet trapped in the chains of belief
with a feast our "friends" will be decieved
soil brown and dark green hues
destroy all to view a view
i am pilgrim
heads bow down to golden crowns
monuments created never will fall down
a culture based on second life
built with virtue,
destroyed by strife
gods of fields and gods of plunder
gods control life, the sky, the thunder
life maker or breaker snakes its way
across the sands
brings hopeful food to needy hands
i am egyptian
nose in the air
skin so fair
on which land
mother nature glares
off with her head!
i the mere peasant
hear all
heres to nothing!
cheers to nothing!
off with her head!
the queen, our bible
our holy testament
law flows from her lips
words tainted are stone
the rosetta stone
ours.
to doom we are prone
with stiff conviction
and hollow, yellowed eyes
long live the queen!
let us drink to demise!
with rose tinted words we depart
we want the world!
for our queen-
our fleshy, wounded heart
i am british
indignity, this land is ours!
half assed claims
our land, our power!
clashing beliefs besides one thing,
freedom! freedom! our hearts sing!
industrial armies, atomic doom
shrieking kids lie, assume.
poison factories deal out death
fast food we call it,
truly named: "life theft", "health theft"
i want
i need
fashion labels
needy is what?
huh? disabled?
we are the enemies
other cultures, a hanky, on which we SNEEZE!
the big fish in a series of seas
hatred veiled from us
to the adventurer revealed
steal people, steal ideas
not rightfully ours
culture destroyed, devoured.
we do nothing
we do all
no matter the plight or cause
pointed out are our flaws.
a reckless two year old girl
among the aged, haughty men
for every victory,
on a platter our wrong doings are tenned.
i am american.
i am a lost girl
floating from culture to culture
florence, shanghai, malibu
i am a melting pot,
flavors clash, THEY'RE ANGRY TOO!
instead...INSTEAD,
i shall live in my mind,
visions of belonging
have been denied
my own culture, a black hole
is there a person in all the world
who is truly whole?
