Solitude--- *MUST read My Misery by Drea
By Methos
A voice wakes me from my memory of you
A thousand words flow by
A few nods and motions of acceptance
In truth, I hear none of them
Pictures flow into my ruptured mind
Leaving an alluring scent of what once was
A dream that surely was years ago
A nightmare now that haunts my soul
Freedom you said. Poison you whispered.
Shutting out my love and leaving nothing
Nothing but this mirror that reflects my pain
You said run, and love me still you would
But I stayed.
Waiting.
For the door of your solitude to open wide
Bringing life to this world of mine
Yet here I sit staring at my past
No future do I see
As I’m blinded by this love
You gave to me….
