Witchy Woman

By Commander_Cadaver

Hair of bright fire,
Lght eyes to blind
Those trying to look in.
A smile that entices
Even the coldest of hearts.
Pale skin so soft that
Silk is jealous of.

She haunts my dreams
In ways that I cannot
Tell while in other ways that
Make my expressions speak
A thousand words.

Withy woman,
What spell have you put
On me to visit me
In such vivid lucidity?

Do you have my soul
Wrapped around a finger
Or two to keep me
On a short leash?

Or am I just suffering
From a want that
I cannot explain nor
Care to do so?

Your presence in my dreams
Always vary.
You are either a shadow
Of an image,
The blink of an eye.
Or the bane of my existence,
Taunting me with desires
I can never reach.
Or your blood drench my
Lips and hands,
Your pale neck bitten into
Like a poisonous apple.

Witchy woman,
What is it you want from
Me that I can not offer?

Is it my life that you want
To be yours,
Side by side,
In a torment of icy fire?

Or is it your life you
Want me to take
In only a way you know
I can take?

Maybe one day I'll figure out
The answers to these
Dreams and questions.
Maybe one day I'll never dream
Of her or anything again.

Maybe one day, witchy woman.

Perhaps we all search for her in some way, the unattainable perfection of a distant reflection...The true imperfections only appear once she becomes real.

Ah, this could be true but we may never know until we catch her.
