Always...

By Commander_Cadaver

Always...
Always always always
I feel as if someone is watching
Me.
Whether I'm out in public
Or alone at home.

My paranoia rises and the
Hair on the back of my neck
Stand.
But when I turn to look around,
No eyes are on me.
No one paying attention
Or no one around.

Upon entering a store,
I always always always
Check for cameras.
Not because I plan on
Stealing anything but
Because I need to know
Where I am being watched from.

Always...
Always always always
I check rooms and behind
Shower curtains
When I am home alone.
I know someone is there.
I can sense them waiting...
Watching from the shadows.

Why this paranoia?
Why these fears that
I am never alone?
And why is it when I relax,
I hear someone call for me
With a voice that sounds like
Dead leaves skittering over
The sidewalk on a windy day?

Always...
Always always always
I feel as if a pair of eyes
Are burning into me.
Watching,
Waiting,
Studying,
Anticipating my next move.

As the Rockwell song went:
I always feel like somebody's
Watching me...
And I have no privacy!

Is it just a fantasy?
Is someone playing tricks on me?
Why don't the leave me be?

Always...
Always always always...
There is always someone,
Or something,
Watching me from a distance...

Or...
Am I just paranoid?

I like this, because it can be interpreted in so many ways! I can see it in the spiritual sense, as 13 has mentioned. I have struggled with Social Anxiety, and have also felt that when I am in an area with a bunch of people I do not know. Well done! Look forward to hearing more from you!
