love triangle

By SourInnocence

From the first moment I saw you,
You captivated me.
I wanted to know you better,
I wanted you to know me.
I needed you to know I wasn’t a trophy.
Even though I never thought I was.
I needed you to understand,
Why I stood by him.
Even if I didn’t.
I wanted to push him aside and run to you.
Because deep down I knew that I would end up in your arms.
But I’d broken his trust before and felt I owed him.
But our eyes would meet.
And I could almost hear you asking me the questions I needed to answer.
I was just his cover, though my feelings for him, in the beginning, were true.
And when he threw me away.
And I fled to you.
I knew what real love was.
And now that I have tasted it,
I wish to make it last.
And I am willing to wait.
Eternity.

( eh, not sure if I like this or not, but since I’ve had a block for a while I hope this will open the flood gates. I wrote this about my feelings for a special someone very close to me. Who helps me see through to tomorrow)
