"Change"

By bpathos

Change is good they say
Change it all for free
Watch it all change away
My face my life and me

Change for its own sake
And if its new its cool
These replicated mistakes
Are the pearls of a fool

Change my mind and sex
Change religion and race
No matter what it wrecks
Change the smile on my face

Change a little this
And maybe some of that
I've changed and missed
I don't know where I'm at

Change the numbers to add up
Change the players in the game
So what's good is corrupt
And everyone is the same

Change my very nature
And change my food
Make me cold and hungry
Make me dumb and rude

Against the wind of change
Like a pillar who will stand
Alone with the truth estranged
A simple honest man

Classy closing here BP and good to read you again! Your laundry list of things to change was timeless, and the "Change for the sake of change" is usually done for pride of ownership I'd guess, and so glad you included it here. Cheers! - Dan
