Our Moon

By Sean Mc Shane

I told Them . . .

She means so much, the world to me
this One and the Ones we have yet to see
I knelt down on the Hilltop, looking to the pale sky
saying many things that only They could understand why

I feared They might see me as a fool
for asking Them for this . . .
for what lies in my heart and soul
is an endless Eternal bliss

I did not ask Them for Their sympathy
nor did I want to be a greedy pest
I just told Them what I truly needed
just a simple little request

They All nodded in agreement with smiles
then caused a spectacular Celestial Rift
presenting to me, for Her, for Us
such a purely Enchanting Gift

the Best of Moons blended in together
that of the Blood and the Blue
swirling into a cooling brilliance
setting off a soft Purple hue

then entering into Their rolling secret valleys
Their Endless Eden far past time and space
where Beauty forms and flows
with fascinating illuminous grace

this Charmed Moon and It's twinkling twilight stars
held my gaze to all of the above . . .

. . . until I felt her gentle embrace from behind
filling me more with her Pure White Love

turning to Her with a joyful grin
I was lost in her warm hazel eyes
placing my hands to Her soft rosey cheeks
I whispered thru a grin, " surprise "

Her innocent bashful smile lasted only a moment
before I pressed my lips to hers, so sensually
Her mind saw this all as a fanciful dream
though Her Soul knew this would be Our Home, eventually

Our kiss lasted beyond the scope of any Time
no words were spoken, nor needed
then thru the Angelic Emerald Archway
Heart within Heart along the path we proceeded . . .

I knew that Here I must now stay forever
and that She would have to go back too soon
so I whispered to Her once again,

" I will always await you here, under Our Moon "

before too long She faded back to the mortal World
I tried my best not to cry
I thanked Them All for this very special Gift
then sat down to wait after a pleasant sigh . . .

Wow dude.....just....damn! You had my attention with the first line! ('Them' capitalized) After that it was visual excellence wrapped with emotion intense enough to nearly overwhelm as I read through the lines. Nothing I can say will be worthy of such a magnificent work. The ending got me, and you get a 10. A very powerful write Sean, thank you for posting this........................ ~ACE~

Goodness. Haunting and romantic with a deep yearning and appreciation for this unusual glimpse of an celestial realm from the other side. They, and Them the immortals/ Saints. This is a very intriguing poem. I'm a bit lost for words. Thank you for sharing it:) Very creative writing. It makes me wonder if this was an actual dream. Take care :)
