Thoughts before bed

By The_Scavenger

As i lay my head down upon this empty bed...
I close my eyes and see your face...

What i see when i look at you....
Years of happiness growing old with you...

good and bad... hard and easy...
We face it all together strong...

I wont lie we've had it rough
we knew it would be tough

twists and turns.. rapids and falls...
we cling together to survive it all...

what ever life may bring there is nothing to fear...
as long as I know your love is near..

so as i drift off to the realm of dreams
with my last breath of the night...

I pray you are happy...i pray you are safe..
but most of all... I pray you'll be mine till the end of time...

I wrote this back in 2007 while I was over seas but the girl I wrote it for never got to see it. I just found it again in my notebook and decided to share it with all of you.

Heartfelt words and wondering why you never mailed it? Sometimes our rational mind overrules the emotional one, cheers!
