Beauty And The Beast

By andhaka

Do you see her standing there?

With thick curly golden hair

Mesmerizing turquoise eyes

Innocent, happy, angelic, wise

Are you watching her ivory gown?

Graciously pooling on the marble ground

Snuggly fitting her bodacious physique

Melodious words, tongue in cheek.

Tinkling laughter filling the room

Naïve bud awaiting bloom

Drenched in perfection from head to toe

She’s the girl everyone wishes to know

But look a little closer, what do you see?

A scarlet scar on her knee

And as I watch her eyes turn black

With a snap her bones crack

She grows taller, muscular, and clear

Jagged incisors, exposed sneer

Fur budding from lithe skin

This is what she’d always been

Sharpened talons slash open my chest

Crimson seeping from my breast

Reaching in, she clasps my heart

Twisting and jerking she tore it out

Pulsating, throbbing, in her beasty palm

Midnight eyes no longer aplomb

Licking slimy cracked lips

I saw my heart in her grips

She made me watch her devour it

Watched my blood blend with spit

Watch her peel my arteries away

One by one, I watch with dismay

Now I am a part of her

With her blood, my blood does stir

Oh what a masochistic feast

I am the beauty as well as the beast

Thanks, and yeah the phrase "don't judge a book by it's cover" is something of a life motto for me, as i have made some bad judgments in the past. i'm glad you enjoyed : )
