The Long Road to Recovery

Beaten, broken
Bruised and battered
Chained, shattered
Torn to tatters

Young and innocent
Sweet and nieve
Not knowing who he was to be
Not knowing that there would be no repreve

No clue how to heal
No idea who to turn to
Afrade of all of the abuse
Feeling like he have nothing to loose

Safety pins scratching
His arms tear
His aunt's scared
He feels like no one's there

His model died that year
After the bottle laying in the back of a truck
They woke up
Fell out and never got up

A new home
New Family
New rules to learn
But he just watches bridges burn

All was good
Everything was great
Untill he met a girl out by the lake
She was a big mistake

Young love is so retarded
They said i loved you
And soon departed
She screwed another boy out of the blue

Car wreaks proceeded that
One after another
They just kept coming back
Time for another switch

New home
New folks
New rules
New ropes

Back to school
All was fine
He was the outcast
But he was by choice

They wont know what its like
They will never understand
From this point foward
The boy forced himself to be a man

He met a girl
She would teach him alot
But lo and behold
She was just another detour

But while he was with her
He met someone else
She would become his best friend fast
And still is to this day

He dropped out of highschool
His classmates understood why
But he made some poor decisions
Got kicked out of every house he lived in

Moved up to the north
And his job was just a bore
Moved out of the house he was in
Only to get kicked out

Out on the streets again
His life a living wreak
Living in an abandon comlex
Wishing he was dead

Thought of all his friends he lost
All the ones that had abandoned
He felt alone in this world
He would soon put an end to it

He remembered his best friend's
And decided he would try
He hitchhiked back down to them
They had saved his life

His life is very interesting now
It has its ups and downs
He still has his issues
That he lets tear him up

Now he is tryin to clean up
Right the wrongs he made
Forgive those who hurt him
And hold the ones he loves

Now his story continues
His life has its bends
But he is trying his best
To make his own ammends
