MirrororriM
By MikeShank1989
In my face I've seen the span of existance
The scene that
flashes across the eyes of the departed between brilliance and blackout
plays on a reel in my minds eye
I've seen what the hand stained
with motor oil does to the luxurious bone structure of a child
I've witnessed indifference in the form of the storm of steel toed debauchery
I've seen the face you make when gratification unveils itself
as disappointment and all you can think to do is find a fresh pair of
double A's and make love to a phantom
I've worn sorrow like
cheap eye liner, burning my eyes with each blink
I write profound
revelations only to realize I'm still so obsessed with what you think
Call me what you will, I've heard the track on repeat
Shades of evergreen flutter like an epileptic slideshow
Giving...Giving...Giving... Sorry! Could not reciprocate!
Control Altered your deleted cache of toner tainted serenades
Poverty, depleted cash, my pockets echo in a field of change
Shards of silver slivers melt to form my mangled mannequin
manner

That line struck me too! I love the way this poem flows, but this particular feeling (unfortunately) resounded with me quite hard. Nifty~

Thanks for the comment. The feeling is never great, but damned if it isn't inspiring.
