Night

 As darkness falls

And silence calls

Thoughts roam

And memories stir

What went wrong?

What causes me to recall that sad song?

The thoughts chill me to the bone

And yet to my flesh burns

Its been so many years

Why all these fears?

These feelings I do not condone

True happiness is all I yearn

So I lay back and ponder

I cant help my mind, it wonders

I need to silence my dome

And not let my body churn
