One True Loves Lost (with Phantasmagoria)

By Legions Slave

When I saw her
I foresaw a future with her
The perfect life
Of us together

When I found him
I regained what I had lost
Something pure
And everlasting

She was my one true love
I saw nothing but perfection in her
She was everything I valued
And more

He was all my heart held
With him, I only saw the light
He was my lifeline
My whole

She brought out all that was pure in me
When I was with her
I felt as if she was my protection
From my demons and impurities

He drew my joy to the surface like a magnet.
Next to his side
I knew I was sheltered
From all that haunted and injured me.

No matter what imperfections I saw
She was perfect
I was in love
With the perfect girl

Even in this world of lies
He was true.
I had, in my arms,
The perfect guy.

I lost her
My fears and inhibitions
Kept me from admitting my true feelings
She is gone out of my life
And I will always ask myself what if

We fell apart.
All my insecurities
Caused me to push him away.
Now he's nothing but a memory
And I always wonder... what if
