Some salvation

Witless wonders

Without elation,

No love- just loss

And escalation.

Across your arm

You have some scars

They trap you in

Like prison bars-

They are a badge

Of bleeding emotion-

A constant reminder

Of your devotion,

Fuck her thoughtless

Proclamation,

A would be lover’s

declaration,

She said love

but lovers lie.

Emotions fizzle

and they die.

I can’t explain-

it can’t be shown.

But either way

you’re still alone.

So take cement

and fill the cracks.

She took your heart,

so take it back.

Make it hard,

more stone than glass,

In time your pain

will come to pass,

Someday she’ll get

what she is due.
