-One Splash-

Speakers of this legend; still tremble quills of stone,
"The Battle" lasted bedtimes past the guilting of the throne.
Hades' baby-basket baron; roamed vines of wasteland crimes,
While Heaven's Christmas wrapping, has torn off Her through time.

The servitude within the skies; crackled as it laughed,
Blinking orchid atmospheres, cast 'gainst the northern draft.
Glimmered coruscations now beginning & preparing,
Connecting daring instants; in electron ink-dipped bearings.

Vibrations in the crust itself; soothing seismic cages,
Respiting replication, dancing destructions through the ages;
Assunder & abandoned, the temples stood upside,
The masses, skittering insects; for aeons on this ride,

In brilliant, random tandem; sun-powered purging pillars,
Cheesecloth forming monoliths, pie-straining magma fillers.
Cascaded fishtank gatherings; hitched highway-chizzled glows,
Fusing cosmic sunsets, ultra-violent thrasing rainbows.

The world now shed of skin; and metaphorically concussed,
Each the jury's witness', seeking eyes to shine with rust.
This battleground of broken beads; a canarium of cries,
Now harping blanket olive branches as determination dies.

In stone by sweat & chizzled dreams, this prophecy began,
"'Til ends of time they'd fight to reach the chair on Nimbus Strand."
And bring us now, so currently; these times are fading creeks,
This glass-drop, sanded hourglass, ghost voiceless as it speaks.

They'd meet up first & for the last; they've searched since time began,
And now the precious Beam they sought, melting bones so close at hand.
As hawks in shadowed, distance-view; so weightless as they clashed,
Contrasted by apocalypse in explosive songbird blasts.

She bathed in showers, full of soot, hair crumbling miner's coal,
Undeterring to the trembles shaking cyclones in her soul.
Lesions had moved in across his skin as land for sale,
While halos; sapphire, amethyst; sonic-boomed across the gale.

Screaming, whirring, whispered trails; the clouds could not keep up,
They hastened as it came to view, the throne now close above.
A final test to pass their blades and skewer swollen pride,
Each a mirrored, mortal wound; ocean's plummet, gracing guide.

Embracing, grasping, hanging on; last breaths in each their arms,
As bleeding lips and souls connect; her fingers brushed his charm.
His strength depleting, reaches deep and pulls her even tighter,
Never daring that she slip; their eyes now closing wider.

Miles meteored within their wake, the gods thought falling stars,
As crimson, caring, tastes of life; now healing battled-scars.
Through aqua sheening, plunging depths; so black it drinks on fear,
They anchored towards the locker, Davy Jones had kept so near.

In life they lived their destinies; force-fed fates to end all days,
In death they shattered expectations; Moirai now hath betrayed.
Inhaling seperate pasts, the waters withered sunken graves,
Exhaling this new testament; coasting ever-loving waves...

Novel and totally unique imagery with some deft alliteration. Thanks for the author's note, the second third did indeed mirror Amaryllis. Extremely well done, thanks SJ.
