Best Friends

By GoldenBlack

As I lay down to sleep,

I pray I find a friend to keep,

I toss and turn staring at the wall,

I hear a voice out in the hall,

I sit up quickly to see,

The voice that spoke to me,

Nothing here in the dark,

Maybe I need a walk in the park,

To help clear my mind,

I am confused to find,

My self standing in the dark,

Wondering how do I get to the park?

I am shocked to see,

A dead woman laying before me,

What happened, how did I get here?

I hear a voice telling me not to fear,

Pick up the knife and get going,

I grabbed the knife and got rolling,

I look back and see her laying there,

The voice told me I need to get some hair,

As a reminder of what we had done,

With my new friend we will have so much fun,

As days turn to weeks,

And our hair piles turn to peaks,

I wish I could see my friend,

But like he says, I need to pretend,

I love my best friend.... :)

I think you might need a new friend and still chuckling at "hair piles" (old joke). Thanks for this disturbing piece, well done, cheers!
