Video Games

By Dragonfly

Inhale the love
Exhale the hate
Believed in nothing
All too late

Breaking Boundaries
Tore them up
Nothing Special
Broken love

Flying nightly
Out of sight
Lose all feeling
Lose the fight

Lost the game
It is not the same
Crossed the line
Gained the pain

Thought of love
Felt the heat
Ran away
My worst feat

Broken bones,
Boundaries, Heart
Who else needs
A game restart?

GAME OVER

Video games are just one facet of the one-eyed monster that is controlling younger people especially. Cell phones, ipods. ereaders, lap tops, PC monitors, text messaging, Facebook, MySpace, gamers, etc. Get lost in a world of electronic amusement when there are no jobs, still at home with mon and dad, and every night is Saturday night - get drunk, get stoned, get trashed. Not teaching longhand script, losing personal communication skills, become withdrawn, depressed, and selfish. Call me a dinosaur... We all reap the consequences.

My favorite Hank Jr. song is Dinosaur and it kinda has that same message. I also agree with you that we live in a very what can you do for me now, instant gratification world.
