Commercial Shade
By With love_Crow
The lipstick stains left on this glass is like
Hypocrisy, yet is not
your shade
Nor is innocence and so you linger
Between the colors
of earth and infinity
Do you exist there? We'll never know
Cause your transparent nature blinds our eyes
Or specifically mine,
but in ignorance
I see everything and nothing
Though you're
like danger in the distance
Gleaming like a siren of some sort
Or maybe that light is from your heavenly grace
But wings can't
get you far enough
Not away from yourself or from the strangers
Walking in a vice city, cloaked in deep silhouette
Watching with
eyes that scrutinize with
Multicolor judgment and aging constitutions
But who can deny a pretty face?
What crawls beneath is your
business
We won't dig cause we'll hit water soon enough
And we're
already drowning in our own shit
So smile princess, your chariot
awaits
To snatch you up into an oblivious nightmare
With commercial
friendship and disconnected walkways
Just say your prayer; the show
must go on.

Life is a giant cliche and filled with contradictions and you expressed it beautifully.
