Without The Balance

By FallenSky

I had wandered for many a season
And now traveled a road by the sea,
For many a sulfurous season
In search of a lost boy called “me”
A search that would end by the sea

The celestial air was descending
Hinting the coming of night,
The formidable calling of night!
My solar eyes were cautiously slanting
As my gaze lingered on haphazard light,
That vaguely told of the impending night

I stood in wonder at that ornate plethora
As I watched daylight sink into the sea,
Elysium crept from the brilliant aurora
As the sun became bride of the sea;
So I shuddered and let my tears free,
For MY bride was not to be.

I weep ashen tears sinsyne, as art;
Counting every dight tear in the gloam,
Counting all of my tears in the gloam,
I cannot see with this moonlit heart,
I am lost without that gloam,
That ever guiding gloam.
Those ashen tears have filled my heart,
As it hides in its masque of gloam,
In a hidden dance with the gloam

Take this bow of destiny
And set it at my heart,
Let free an arrow for my heart,
My gray and frozen heart
Return my body to that antediluvian sea,
For the night has slain my heart,
My ever enkindled heart,
My gray and frozen heart,
Return my hollow form to that burning sea
So it’s waters may quell my heart

    Your poetry reminds me of Dawn. The sun rises, releasing it's light oh...so smoothly and slowly to wash it's sustaining brilliance over all living things...yup...this is your poetry, this poem. ~DW~
