jaybird

By Philla

my heart
catches in my throat
and i face you
and every demon you imagined.

i am weak..
as i trace every memory
and broken fragment of my heart
with bloodied fingers.

i remember.. ah..
how cold you are.
when you love me.

i am broken. without you.
with you.
because of you.

you are
the terrible force
that tried to condemn
an angel for flying.

freedom calls to me.
and it sounds so lovely.

sweet ghost of my heart,
i let you go.
and i'll tuck you away..

and forget.

i will always love you.

"sweet ghost of my heart, i let you go. and i'll tuck you away.. and forget. i will always love you." - I like the notions of 'ghosts of your heart', something that remains but is no longer vibrant. Great dichotomy between 'tucking away and forgetting' and always 'always loving'. This is a great piece! Ciao, T/S Scholar

This is the kind of write I love. You said so few words, yet spoke volumes with them. And hit the emotion perfectly. Thanks. ^V^
