Wheee!!!

Testing... 1... 2...
Am I getting through?
It's hard to be
sure because for so long
I've been restricted, confined
Stuck
in patterns of lines
Mired in rigid self-imposed rules of
expression
This is liberating, I must give my confession
Breaking
free of syllabic patterns of enforced time
I'm losing the meters
but I'm keeping the rhymes!
Can you dig it, DP? I'm sure you must know
That
many an untalented hack has shown
How throwing big words at a page makes you seem deep
Some of these poems aren't fit to wipe between my ass cheeks
I've spent too long stuck
Like a child in class
Being convinced
that anything I write would suck
If I didn't produce it exactly as asked
I feel like my output would be so much greater
If 1 DNT
WRY @BOUT MKING IT ALL NEATR
And measuring each line a thousand times
for meter
Somehow, I've still been subconsiously writing for teacher
This is me
Watch me break
free
And deliver my message just the
way I see
It
In my head.
Scrambled and dirty like a rotten egg.
My rigid,
lifeless poems are child's play
Next to some free-writing
authors I've read today
So I think it's time to say hello
And embrace a new way
Of making my vision flow
And approach the new day
With this new freedom
I know
And not be afraid (after smoking some muse)
To write all over the page

You go guy! I've been trying different forms of poetry and prose since joining 2-3 months ago, and have done some noteworthy stuff (my opinion) that I never would have considered in my previous poet's life. I believe a good classical background is definitely a plus though - the rest seems to come easy after that. Thanks for this piece to contemplate.

I'm sure even teacher would have to submit after reading this piece, boundless freedom with a hint of rhyme, almost like two different realms converging at the same point. A delightful mash-up, write onward.
