It was her last shift

After three nights in a row
I grew to like her
She
was my night nurse
She treated me like I mattered
Listened to
all I had to say
I don't care if it was her job
I loved how
she asked
If I was okay
She had a simple beauty
On her
understanding face
I could see the pain in her eyes
As I told
her about my life
She made my stay so much better
I don't know
if I'll ever see her again
Because
It's her last shift
with me
She's my night nurse
and her name is Tiffany

Sometimes we find people who such ability to hear and understand that it surpasses their job position. It might be her job but she wanted to listen, that's what is most important. And the fact that you didn't forget that person, it tells us good things about you too.
