I Don't Like This Film

Sometimes I truly believe
that my life is a movie
run by an arrogant prick
who loves a morbid comedy

(I think)

He keeps on pressing rewind
because I keep falling back
onto the same painful track
Oh how funny,
How unkind
Oh how many times I've tried
to press forward / from this

(It just doesn't work)

I bet somewhere
there's a crowd that is
watching with a smirk
laughing at the simple fact
I've been attempting

When every failure
has left me cracked
It's condescending
and I can't even act
I hate pretending

(Guess I'm not supposed
to have a happy ending)

Just when I think
it couldn't get any worse
the director will re-edit
find such ways to
immerse me
deeper in this pit
filled with much
complicated shit

but only if each
problem stays remaining
well not to me
It's just my sarcastic
way of explaining

(that I'm really not okay)

for with each and every day
I go through
the same routine
I could see it on display
I could just imagine
it on screen

and I don't like this film
It scares me
I can't watch

Turn my head in shame
the Misery has
left a notch
