Somewhere over the rainbow

By Dreamzz

Somewhere over the rainbow

there is a girl crying on her knees.

Where bluebirds die.

And the dreams are crushed and left behind.

The girl is bleeding,dying,thinking.

Thinking, bleeding, dying, wondering

why she too was left behind

with the birds never meant to fly.

She knows this is where she will die

she is dying underneath the stars

being crushed by the heavy bars.

Why is it here she must die.

Bleeding, dying, thinking,

wondering why here we all must die.

This is hell I know all to well

she is stuck dying in her own special shell.

Die now! Her thoughts tell her

from who she is not sure.

The scars she has were self made,

but she never knew today was her last day.

Now she's dead she died in hell

something we all knew very well.

No one saved her no one tried

this is the reason that she died.

This was a good piece...a little cryptic. Not as strong as some of your other work...like you were struggling with it. Maybe that was the point. Times of confusion do not come out with precise thoughts. I love the contrast in the title and the piece itself. Who knew the end of the rainbow was such a dark place?
