A Summer Night's Drive

By A Life Without You

Breathe...

I turned to the left
and watched as the cool night air
brushed across your face,
Your right hand laced the steering wheel
ever so softly as light descended down-Moon's staircase

...Breathe...

I slowly sank into your soul
though still in my seat,
As headlights glisten in the distance
In between ghostly trees

...Breathe...

Longing again for your breath against my lips
I close my eyes
and drift into your dream
awakened by the scream air sings
when headlights collide

a voice so beautiful echo's through night's sky

...Breathe...

Life ran thick through painted blood across warm skin
as I whispered in your ear "I love you my dear"
    ....may Angles lead you in

Thank you, it was actually inspired by a friend who lost the love of his life in a car accident, the only thing he could do was hold her as she took her last breath...real life ya know...
