a Hush

By tinkdarkchyld

Gentle words fall like pouring rain.

Blessing souls,

and carving hope from hollow ground.

Lift me up and set me free,

there is no more time left for me.

Hush now.

Tiny thoughts drift away,

fragments gone to seed.

A silver tear drowns the world,

cry not for a life well lived.

Whispered prayers for those left behind,

a phantom love floats away.

Hush now.

The body sinks into the dirt,

an empty shell of remorse.

The gathered few,

close their eyes,

and misses the spirit fly.
