Sand from Memory

By Dr Benway

It used to make more sense then this
a picture, an image of something close
like some glamorous yet jaded proxy
condensed into lustful intent.

Sometimes I forget that it's all just a game
one that's never meant to be personal
nobody really gets hurt, right?

A smile, a kiss, a touch
and if your lucky,
one long meaningless screw
maybe even a walk on the beach,
if time allows.

This actually gave me a smile, because I see the truth in it. Good to have you back.

Ouch. I dont know how I have missed your work. Your emotion is so raw but so effective with its calm tones. Awesome piece.
