Infected

By Lady Grinning Soul

Misanthropic heartaches in ruins tonight
cant stop the pitter patter beats.

Lost faith.

Religion burned like matches...
Religions only for the faithful.

Infected.

I am faithless
and today I fell apart
and you didn’t notice.

I can’t stop thinking.
Thoughts wont subside
and they ramble on in my head
nonstop
auto-repeat cycle
nothing can break it.

And she’s barreling guns loaded,
laughing for no reason
wicked smile
guns aimed at her head
and

you know she wants to shoot
because she thinks it would be beautiful
if the last thing that went through her head
other then drug laced blood,
was a bullet or two.

Swigging from a jack daniels bottle
she don’t know what cheap is
she wants it hot and fast.

Worthless, infected, injected and dead.

My lips are numb
and I fell apart again.

Irregular heart beats
and palpitations missed.

Infected...

Its all lit up in flames,
all of it
I watched every fucking
bit of sanity
burn up in the sky.

Redemption.

Nay, I am faithless
worthless,
infected,
and I cant superglue the pieces
back together anymore.

Their immune
and like siblings
they refuse to be together.

In[j]fected

and rejected.

These fragile pieces have always been broken.

Thoughts wont subside, infected.

And today I fell apart
right before your eyes.

Redemption is for the faithfull
and I am
infected...
