The importance of location
never
first and foremost
in the decision process...

I strolled along this vacation
traveling
with the confidence
of a monk in a gentleman's club

The intestinal fortitude
of a professional bulimic

in complete control
of what was to become
another temporary heart transaction

Low risk investments
shouldn't frighten
an experienced
masochist

yet to my surprise

the rented room presented
with an isolated
uneasy feeling

The odd-lot furniture
became increasingly less inviting by the second
and the view
appeared never to face the light

Intuition
had not abandoned me

Throwing down
the weighted bags I carried

once again

reluctantly
paying for another order of room service resentment
I took a long
chilly shower
and climbed
with familiarity
into the 180 thread count bed
