The Saddle Maker

By freudian-slip

If I were to call it
just a vacation...

I'd be selling it completely short
of the beauty
that surrounded
the moment
the old
local man
came up to us

swan graceful
and over-sized
as if
his gigantic heart
made no sense
but to encapsulate itself
into a large human mass

for his enlightenment
was bigger than
the little life I've known

when he held out his hand
and shown me the "angel" shell

while explaining
it's origin
to my children

and how it's uniqueness
is easy to miss

when it's obvious

his love
isn't
