Oh, But Honey I'm not Who You Think I am
By heroineyes
She smiled, gently blushing.
dancing over words given to her
while She leans forward,
sweetly kissing my forhead,
thinking me asleep.
Knowing, sometimes, i don't tell
of all the things i've learned.
Like how the world began,
and how the world will end.
things i'll never understand
and how i'll just accept them.
that Your kiss,
like electric shock,
was therapy enough,
for when we meet.
we'll kiss in darkened alleyways,
Love, hold me like a straight jacket;
so we might share sympathy
with others in love and sorrow,
feeling pity for the dying villians.
Afraid we'll die,
(not for death)
but a stranger
attempting humanity.
my fair Hero
and Your brave leander
drowning in stormy rivers.
She knows my thoughts
pulsing through my veins.
while i see ivory and rose,
smiling, gently blushing
through heavy eyelids;
what no one knows,
where no one sees,
my Lover and i doing
doing as we please

Sweet verse, sweet flow and with an undercurrent of the bittersweet throughout, just beneath the surface. Wonderful work :) -Carl
