Love

By meadowlea

Love is watching with despair
At the lives beyond repair
One child who’s only craving is for drugs
What changed to make him want them not hugs?
One child who can’t be trusted because of his lies
Will he even care or mourn when his brother dies?
A father who can’t see the image he created
The children’s lives are their’s to live he stated
It’s ok to lie cheat &steal
I’ll just turn away on my heel
Mum devastated & heartbroken again
Dad has succeeded in destroying the family again
One child gone past the point of return
He overdosed last two weekends we learn
Why can’t we learn to hate
So that it won’t hurt now it’s too late
Each day my sister grows sadder
Just love them & wait I advise each day I get madder
There’s a funeral & gaol coming soon
But will my sister even make the next full moon

That type of love can be very emotional. It's great you had the confidence to express it. Thank you for sharing. :)
