Walk Gently
By LilBlueCat
Walk Gently across my soul, as you search for your path.
Think carefully before you pluck another blossom
From this well tended garden of thought. Will you press it?
(Cautious, I reach for you while you reach for me.)
Walk gently across my soul, as we move away from the abyss.
Our hearts grapple - demanding warmth, security, confidence, oneness -
Tearing at each other, searching somewhere in between now and tomorrow.
(Needful, you reach for me while I reach for you.)
Walk gently across my soul, as you rise with the sun
Warming the earth with your thoughts, burning through shadows
Cast by walls claiming to protect from within and without.
(Trusting, I reach for you while you reach for me.)
Walk gently across my soul, as the snow falls with innocence.
Together we can melt away the facades and find truth.
Guarding each other, protecting from the cold, we endure...
(Confident, you reach for me while I reach for you.)

"Walk gently across my soul"...such a powerfully engraving request. I shall surely think of this beautiful piece the next time little feet tip-tap across my heart. *Evangel*
