Take My Love

By thelostmessenger

Take my love,
and smear it across my face.
Let crimson droplets trickle
across yoru fingertips.
Fingers that I thought
would be laced with mine
to walk with me into eternity.
Let it linger in your palm.
It is a bond
between our hands
and hearts.

Take my love,
and breath it in,
holding it
as if I were your last.
Remember how
I filled your lungs,
thicker than cigarette smoke,
and so much sweeter.

Take my love,
and hold it close.
Lock it in your heart.
Know that I've given
you all of me,
and with that
I hope you remember
to lose the key.

Take my love,
Let it seep into your skin,
and flow
through every vein
in your fragile body.
Consider the blood
pump into
and out of
your heart.
The heart which will always
be mine.

Darling, take my love.
Paint an immortal masterpeice,
onto paper fashioned
from divine love letters
written for you.
Make beautiful imagery
like every moment
I pray you remember
of us,
as I leave today.

Take my love.
Drink with it
our undyeing beauty,
a love so passionate
and lovely,
I never thought
this day would come.

Yet still I say,
take my love,
our everlasting song.
Listen to it
echo, fade, and repeat
in the distance.
Feel the bass
within your heart,
and remember me.

This was beautiful. Normaly I'm not so much for love poems, but this is definently one of the better ones I've read so far...Your descriptions are very well thought out. I like the imagery a lot. Great Write! ~Star~
