Syncope

By Northstar

my body falls to the floor
as my mind is overtaken
by memories of you
that burn and reawaken
senses in my soul
I've long mourned for dead
images of you and I
splash and scream through my head
I am lost in this dream
my eyes do not see
blinded with the eternity
of what used to be
my weak heart is racing
its beat like a drum
surreal time melts away
I return to where I'm from
I return to your arms
and shiver in your embrace
echoing shadows
fill my mind of this place
known like a home
this space filled with you
my soul overflowing
with memories breaking through
interrupting my waking
stealing my breath
being here without you
is a fate worse than death
my legs cannot hold me
when I am paralyzed
by the seizures of memories
ripping out from the inside
breaking free of my subconscious
where Ive locked them away
to flood through my soul
til I cant live another day
