Caterpillars.
By sheff
still.
i would
have moved across each scented petal, too
in the vast softness.
in the wild cacoon.
where I might crawl from uncertainty.
creep up each wall I could build
sleep for decades
(over
thin membranes)
then
bloom.

Who is it that is looking for hope ? If you are the world and the world is you, then please tell me who it is that dies? I wonder perhaps if it could be said that in this short sweet poem you have discovered the answer.

Though this is categorized "Short and sweet," I believe it would make for a lovely spoken word piece. Especially if said with precision and care, spoken softly in dulcet tones. A hopeful spring is in the air with this poem.

This speaks of hope, I find myself endeared with short poems that deliver such powerful messages and this was such a delicate way of presenting it. Love it.

stunningly succinct...not many can manage a poem so pulling and pure and velvety thin/thick with meaning and possibility. very nice.
