A hard lesson learned

By cemetarydance

Look beyond the burning bridge and you'll find me
Screaming out your name even though you won't hear me
Waving my arms in hopes that you'll see
My kimono waving in the wind gold as sunshine and red as blood

What happens when you burn your bridge?
Will you arise and overcome like you say you will
Only to fight another day some other way
There's only one question I'll ask

Will you leave me behind to look on after you?
Hoping that you'll come back for me
Some promises are better off when they don't roll off your tongue
Only to be caught up in what you really meant to say

What happens when you get here and realize you don't want me
Just to turn around and go find some other dream to chase
Leaving me in the charred ruins of yesterday wishing you were here
With only my tears to console me as I dream of another tomorrow

Without You..........I just can't live anymore.......Mi Amor
