Battle Cries Rest On -Bleak Hearts-

By Revisable Retina

Battle Cries 5/23/07 7:30am

The many battle cries of
thousands upon thousands
of solders rings throughout my ears.
Their weapons making that
awful sound clanging loudly
against one another.

Me in the mist of all;

*weaponless;*

wearing fear and sorrow as my only armor.
Once the blur is wiped from my eye’s
the vision becomes clear,
I see the battle lay within family,
friends and many acquaintances.
All Thriving in their sinful ways,
on a field made up of darkness;
Stuck in a common void which has
consumed that average society today.

Fighting,

Cutting,

Gouging,

Slicing,

ripping through flesh of my loved ones.
My nature... Wanting to stop all that I see.
I am completely beyond myself,
so I yell out at the top of my lungs,
letting the only words of strength
and wisdom I know slip from my lips.
But the eternal battle screams made up of

affliction, agony, pain, pride, hurt,
and complete misery,

muffle the words I’ve spoken.
I go to reach out to all of them
but I am frozen unable to move a limb.
The only feeling is My heart which
burns deep within my chest,
no longer beating, only throbbing,
wanting to break free from the body it belongs.

So I helplessly watch the helpless,
drown in the depths of water
that has been formed from the tears
that have fallen from heaven
leaving the eyes of angels,
which hang their heads watching
these children of earth
never to grow nor learn from their
Trials, Temptations,
Addictions and Tribulations
in saddened silence.

Yes, how truly it tears us apart, throws us from the path of our free movements. Our voice silenced amidst the brash shoutings of insanity. How perfectly human that some should ignore the endless lessons we perpetuate. Strong words for strong hearts, not

and if our life is now intertwined with another, dare we take the path less travelled once encountered, knowing we trade our life for another? Or shall we then just drift in the current of life?

I like the part of helplessly watching the helpless..did you mean Trials?...I was surprised that my older sibs took much longer to see a reality I screamed, and was cast away for doing so, but now come to me.
