Intoxication
By Midian
Intoxicated by your words, I am a mere man.
Feeling you in my arms is simply heaven.
I beg to serve, as I am not worthy.
You are my everything, love and lust.
You are my all, pleasure mixed with pain.
Pour the wine and light the candles.
Come feel my dark embrace, and touch my cold soul with your warmth.
I feel you, I touch you, I love you.
Without you I am alone.
With you I am filled, I am healed.
When you are with me it is pure bliss.
While you are near me I feel content.
But you simply do not exist, and I am alone.

I like how you recap the emotions of the first stanza in just one line. Very smooth write.

This poem holds beauty within, reading it yanked at the very depths of my heart.. Whats life without dreaming of something more then what you have?

I like the premise, the feel of the the fantasy...longing...but the spelling of wine, really threw me, especially with the title you chose.
