I want to be your last cigarette(thatll never happen)
By BeautifullyRuined
Make me pretty again
instead of a used up beauty
worn like an aged prostitute
if only on the inside
on the outside
i remain unchanged
until you look into my eyes
and see the light that use to shine there
has burnt out
leaving smoke and shadows
in its place
and i no longer smile
at the drop of my pen
i`d find it comical if it wasnt
so fucking depressing
the same old tired cliche
Boy meets Girl
girls hands over her heart
boy drops ite
like the butt of the cigarette
he has clasped between lips
that have kissed me crazy
on more than one occasion
what i wouldnt give
to be that cigarette
for him to breathe me in like nicotine
but he never cherished me
like the marlboros
that live inside his pocket
which is closer than i could ever get to him
he takes the last drag
and throws it to the ground
stomps on it
for good measure
crushing it like he crushed me
and in that moment i realize something
he may love his cigarettes
(like me)
but when he`s done
he`ll just get another pack

I have a thing for cigarette poems :) This is a great one. I really like how lucid it is (hard to find it here sometimes) and how well it brings across the emotions of abandonment.
