Betrayer Of Hope

By ANGELSLAYER

There's a new heart of the dark
He wears a deity's skin
Honeyed words drip from a Golden tongue
Legendary eyes
Windows to the night
A dead soul inside

Drawn from the depths of humanity
Stirring the beginnings of insanity
Raptured minds look toward the flaming sky
Seeking the promised lie
But first you must die

Begging,pleading
The second has come
Annointed by the filth of a decaying ressurection
Sustained by the dregs of sacrifice in a chalice
Heralded by the heat of a false Golden Dawn
He's named and known the Betrayer Of Hope

When there's absense of light
That brings eternal night
And the fear and the pain flows like bloody rain

Then you know you're in the presense of the Betrayer Of Hope
Here comes the one you thought would save
Will only lead to the grave
For in death you will learn to serve

"a heart of the dark who wears deity's skin" - a brilliant flavorfull way to describe a thing of such fearful beauty
